The Communication/Alarm System Committee: It shall consist of a minimum of three (3) and maximum of five (5) regular members. It shall be the duty of said committee to write the rules and regulations concerning proper radio procedures established by the SMFAA for the frequencies assigned to the SMFAA by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). The Committee shall also see that these rules and the concerning rules of the Federal Communication Commission are enforced. This Committee shall be responsible for investigating all infractions of any organizational member dealing with the communication procedures established by the SMFAA. This investigation report shall be forwarded to the Trustees within thirty (30) days of receipt of the written complaint for the Trustees to review and recommend appropriate actions. This Committee shall also oversee the SMFAA Box Alarm System as part of its duties. They shall investigate any problems incurred with the Alarm Systems and see that corrective action is taken. This Committee shall review organizational member's box alarms prior to their implementation and make appropriate "recommendations" The Training Committee: It shall consist of a minimum of three (3) and maximum of five (5) SMFAA members. It shall be the duty of said Committee to keep the Association informed of upcoming training sessions to be held in the area. They shall also report on any changes of training programs at the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy and changes on the Local Level Fire Training Programs. Said Committee shall also, at the request of the Association, do all the said functions for a SMFAA sponsored training program. The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Committee: It shall consist of a minimum of three (3) and maximum of five (5) SMFAA members. The goal of the EMS Committee shall be to assess and address the operational and tactical needs of the EMS community and to implement better methods of mass casualty, rehabilitation management, and mutual aid assistance to organizational members. The Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (AC/BC) Committee: It shall consist of a minimum of three (3) and maximum of five (5) SMFAA members. The purpose of this Committee is to promote bum prevention through the purchase of a 'Fire Safety House" and subsidize any burned child from the SMFAA coverage area with any unmet needs not covered by insurance. This is done in cooperation with the Bum Prevention Foundation. |
